Take Me There Tuesday: San Clemente, CA

Hi Friends!

I have moved!! Check out my new site: www.froelichmeanshappy.com !!

See you there!!

The boyfriend and I hit up San Clemente’s beaches this Valentine’s Day weekend, in particular the pier. I thought you might enjoy some photos.

San Clemente is a bustling yet relaxed beach town in southern California. About an hour north of San Diego, San Clemente is essentially smack dab in the middle of your SD to LA journey.

Its got stunning landscapes and pretty accessible beaches.

It’s a different feel than San Diego or LA. Its like if SD flip-flops and LA bourgeois had a love child.

Caffeinated is motivation kids.

The pier is a decent size, nice walk to the end on a beautiful sunny day.

There's a cute little snack shack at the end of the pier!

All along the pier, there are starfish clinging on, bright orange and gorgeous purple ones. Stunning!

There are tons of cute little one off, touristy cafes and shops if you’re into that kind of thing.

You can also rent paddleboards or kayaks too!!

Parking can be kind of a pain and is mostly permitted. The good news? You don’t need quarters, they take cards OR you could always take the train.

San Clemente has a HUGE surfing population, which naturally the boyfriend LOVED. J

Here are some more miscellaneous photos from the trip.

I hope you enjoyed today’s Take Me There Tuesday!

Hi All!

Hope you had a fabulous Valentine's Day!

Thought I'd share with you all the easy valentine's day treats I made my coworkers, and by made I mean slapped together at the last minute.

Step one, print the an image that says "Happy Valentine's Day Stud Muffin" on cardstock
Step two, buy some muffins from the store.
Step three, put the  cards in the muffins.
Step four, watch everyone go awwwwww and think you're a genius when you're really just lazy.

Final product:

Yay! Was this Valentine's Day fabulous or lame sauce? let me know!

love you monkeys!

Plus Size Crack-in-a-Cup

Hi Friends!

I have moved!! Check out my new site: www.froelichmeanshappy.com !!

See you there!!

Crap I learned today:

1. My favorite adorable leopard flats are the worst possible shoes to wear to the mall for four hours. BLISTERS EVERYWHERE.

2. When your (ridiculously over sensitive right) eyeball is already feeling a little under the weather, its probably not the best time to be experimenting with false lashes. Eyeball + Eyelash glue = OSETHOEHTAOHEOAHTOAH.

3. As much as I love hazelnut, I'm having an affair with vanilla. You guys, I can explain. Vanilla just tastes so much better in iced coffee than hazelnut. Why was I so resistant?!

4. Hannah Hart from My Drunk Kitchen is absolutely adorable. I love her videos! And. GET.THIS. People who know me know i'm slightly obsessed with Jenna Marbles. THEY ARE FRIENDS IN REAL LIFE!
Something that ruffled my feathers today:

WHY does forever 21, or any store that carries plus sized, put them into its own section with different clothes than the rest of the store. Why not just make the same clothes in bigger sizes? I mean really. Its so stupid. eoijsoetij.

Things you should know. I haven't forgotten about you or my crafting promises. Its just that well..... i've been failing a lot lately haha. Most of my crafts have been turning out a little less crafty and a little more crappy. Maybe I'll show them to you just for fun. Aaaanyway, I'm working on it and I'll show you something soon.

Much love home skillets.

Not four years, for life.

Hi Friends!

I have moved!! Check out my new site: www.froelichmeanshappy.com !!

See you there!!

So yeeaaa. I tried to do  DIY Lauren Conrad top and it did NOT work out.....  Ive been working on it off and on for like a week. I finished it late last night, hoping I could post about it today on my lunch. NOPE. FAIL!

And now I'm exhausted at work for nothing!

I'm going to try again even though I wasted all that pretty fabric. :(

So today, I'll talk about something different. Here on the campus I work on, recruitment season is coming for all of the sororities.

If you are in college and thinking about joining a sorority, do it.

Even if you're a sophmore.

Even if you're a transfer, I was.

Even if you don't think you're the "sorority type".

It will literally be the most amazing experience of your life.

While the matching shirts are an amazing bonus, you get so much more out of it.

You get amazing friends you call sisters who are part of your heart and life forever.
You learn about helping others and how good it makes you feel to see your efforts make a difference in someone's life.
You end up with the most amazingly redonk inside jokes that make you life for years after you graduate.
You get a little! Who will love and adore you almost as much as you love and adore her. Its an AMAZING feeling to welcome someone into your life and watch them get SO excited when they find out that you're their big!
You celebrate holidays with mini parties at your house.
You learn to be a leader and how to use your specific skills to your benefit.
You also learn to work as part of a team and that sometimes the most helpful thing you can do is show up and smile.
You find a home. A group of girls who are like you in many ways and different in ways that help you grow.
You find people who inspire you to be a better version of yourself. You learn things about yourself you never knew.
You get to dress up real pretty and go out on the town ;)

It makes your campus feel so much more than a home than a bunch of buildings you take class in. It makes college a life changing experience and not just a series of classes.

You feel AMAZING when new girls are happy to join. And you make amazing connections. This is Bianca from theinbetweengirls.com on her very first day as a DZ. Love her face.
Hot cocoa and cuddles with movies on rainy days

You learn to be brave, try new things you have never done.
You learn to help others make good choices in their lives.

Overall, it will change your life in all the right ways.

If you are even considering it, do it!

Ok, enough of our trip down memory lane. Back to work!
