Holiday Boot Camp Day Four: Twinkle Time!

Holiday Boot Camp Day Four!

Welcome back!

So my next project was super fun to make but I could NOT think of what the heck to call it, I came up with Twinkly Name Canvas and Custom Christmas Light Box!

Which ones you like better?!

This is what you need:

  • Canvas
  • Small String of Christmas lights (BATTERY OPERATED ONLY!)
  • Something to poke holes for your lights- I used a needle and screwdriver
  • Paint & brush
  • Paint Pen
  • Hot Glue gun
Here's what you do.

Start with your pretty new canvas!
Redify that sucker.

Take kissy face selfies while you wait for the paint to dry

Then Christmasify the heck out of that bad boy! Add your family name and some snow flakes using the paint pen.

Using your sharp pointy object poke holes in the center of each snow flake and at the start and end of the name and any dots you may have in the name.
Now take your pretty lights and open em up and stretch them out.

Make sure that your lights work before you start putting them in.

Take your lights and gently poke a bulb through each hole.

Next, put a small dab of hot glue between the back of the bulb and the canvas  to hold the bulbs in place. Glue your battery box into a bottom corner to hold it in place.

And thats it. You're done!

The only downside is that its really hard to get a good picture of the twinkly lights :/

But it looks really cool in my dining room!

And its super cool because you could easily change it to a winter blue and make it a winter themed one for my non-Christian friends!

Hope you are all feeling super holiday happy!

Can't wait to see you all tomorrow for a sweet boot camp!
